Baby Adalyn Makes Three
This sweet little baby is joining big brother Patrick and now "middle" sister Karli. Adalyn's parents are a future bride & groom of mine. It is very bittersweet that their original Fall 2020 date has been pushed out to Fall 2021 (although safety for all family and friends comes first)!
Adalyn entered the world during a very precarious time -- a worldwide pandemic was, and is still, among us. COVID-19 was just starting to grip the nation, and "stay safe - stay home" mandates started to take effect. There are many historical moments happening right now in our lives, and one day, when she is older, she will learn all about them. For the safety of all involved, I rocked the session wearing a mask -- a first of many things that has changed within my business, along with how I engage and the proximity in which I interact. I am the first to admit that I love me some baby snuggles, but it just wasn't meant to be during this session.
Adalyn may have been experiencing round-the-clock attachment to Mama, because she spent quite a bit of time nursing. And these are totally normal things that can happen during infant sessions. Throughout the session, I kept in mind that the most important image was a singular moment, since newborn in-hospital photographs were not being offered. I also rocked some storytelling with the older two.
I love this family to the moon and back, and I am ever-grateful that I will have the privilege of documenting them as they grow and evolve. Enjoy these images! xoxo

Karli & Patrick

This one here is a spitfire! She has personality for dayssssss!

What I love about this moment is that Patrick is known to be a little camera-shy, and he doesn't always smile so easily for a camera (per his father's mention). This is just beautiful 💕

This is what singing "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X in a recliner with Daddy looks like. More, please! 😍

I didn't know the secret being told, but I sure did love the reactions!

This!

Patrick asked if I could take a picture of him jumping/diving into the couch. I'm the first to admit that I did not have the right lens for this moment, but what I did end up capturing is still memory-worthy.

Swinging and swaying, just like in the womb.

Love!

A double super hero pose?... you got it!

Adalyn is in love with the the motion of the ceiling fan. Such focus!

Karli taking a snoozer.... photoshoots are tiring work 😉

Adalyn 😍

She is so, so loved. Welcome to the world!
