Baby Alice Makes a Family of Four

This is such a wonderful time in a young family's life!  I have been lucky enough to document this type of family dynamic as of late.  In my eyes, I would call both Henry and Alice babies!  On the one hand, it is the newborn.  After the 9 months of anticipation, a family is finally able to see the face of this newest life (in this case, Alice).  And on the other hand, there is the 2-year-old.  A time when thoughts are being articulated, and the will of a child revealing itself (Henry).  But, honestly, still just a baby.  These children are the world's future... with so much hope and promise.  And Chas & Amy are blessed to be able to raise these children with love.  So much love!

This visit was such a treat!  I documented another honest story, and the results are beautiful!

Enjoy this time in your lives... these moments go by much too quickly!  xoxo

When I first arrived, Henry was on the island.  His baby blues had grabbed my attention, and the kisses he was blowing stole a small piece of my heart.  Alice was chilling out, asleep, in the next room over.

This image, though!  Authentic!  <3

Baby Alice getting kisses from big brother, Henry.

Two years seems such a small amount of time for a child to climb stairs, but that is truly how quickly it happens!  And at the top of the stairs awaits Harrison, the first (fur) "baby" of the family.

In this moment, we have Henry helping himself to the crib.  Because I'm sure it wasn't that long ago that he graduated from his own crib into his big boy bed.  (Amy wasn't worried about the climb, so I wasn't either.  You never know what can unfold organically when a 2-year-old enters an infant sister's crib).

THIS!!!!   100% unscripted! <3

He's beginning to be my favorite little ham!

So, so beautiful!

Harrison is quite the model in his own right!

Hanging with Henry and Chas!

Love!

I oftentimes tell parents not to have expectations where a toddler is concerned.  I love how life carries on in the background while Henry tells his own story in the foreground!

Older siblings always do come around, and I knew Henry would eventually join his family.  But in this moment, he is commanding his own stage on the ottoman.

His opposition was made clear.  (But In all fairness to the parents, he was reminded that his behavior was unacceptable.  So we carried on... minus Henry).

Beautiful!  I always love the moment in time just before a kiss!

Henry with his nana (aka blanket).  "Thinking" about joining...

Love!

Gahhh!  This moment gives me tingles!!!   Love, love, love!!!

Such a magical nursery.

Such a natural moment!  Sustaining life is a beautiful thing!

Henry needed a small snack break.... and I was in love with his milk-stache!  Let it dribble!!

The cow in his hand, though!  Perfect!

This next sequence, I asked if Amy & Chas would allow.  Henry has been going through a phase of taking off his pants, and truth be told, this can sometimes be classic 2-year-old behavior.  (At home, acceptable.  Out in public, maybe not so much).  After shedding his denims, he proceeds to put on his winter boots!  (Notice boot going on wrong foot... it just doesn't get any better than this)!

Proudly marching around in his safety color orange boots!  The best!

I believe this is Alice's pillow that Henry sat in.  Room for both?... not a chance!  lol

Annnnnd, Henry's out....

I grabbed a quick handful of images of just Amy & Chas.  Because before all of the beautiful madness that is now their family, the story began with just these two.

The End
