Baby Jaxon Makes Four
This family is so awesome! I might be a bit partial, since Nick whipped my butt into shape years ago. He is part owner of Saratoga Health and Wellness, and I cannot say enough good things about this gym! A couple of years ago, I was lucky enough to meet his wife, Kristin, and their newborn son, Justin. Fast forward to today, and there is the addition of Jaxon, and Justin is now the big brother. And what a little lover he is!
These images are full of little stories, which is in keeping with my very favorite style of photography! Nick & Kristin's hearts are full, with their world painted by these two little boys! Enjoy these small moments, and I will continue to provide backstory along the way.
To you both -- soak it all up, you have a beautiful life! xoxo

Justin, proudly sporting his Big Bro t-shirt, and the newest addition in his Little Bro onesie, Jaxon 💕

Justin's birthday is in November (and I *might* be obsessed with Zodiac signs), so that pensive scowl is keeping in line with the true Scorpio nature...

...but then charming 2 seconds later!

The little wooden spoon he is holding belonged to his great-grandmother when she was a baby! So in keeping with my own sign (Cancer), I have an affinity to all things old -- whether antiques, photographs, memories, etc. I find this to be a pretty special image!

I'm okay with Justin being out of focus, as the interaction of hands is what requires our attention! Because one day, the hands of these two little boys are going to outgrow the size of their mother's! I love how you can measure time and age by the size of a person's hand! And as the hand grows older (but no longer in size), the stories they tell deepen!

This image, though!! Look at how closely Justin is literally staring at his brother! I wonder what is truly going through his mind as he processes the addition of this new baby into his world.

So much yes!!!

So this image is a little bittersweet! As it stands alone, it is a fantastic moment of father and son playing peek-a-boo over the couch back! But moments later, there was a thud, and Justin took a tumble off said couch. I felt so horrible, but Justin was brave, and got over it rather *quickly!
(*There is more to this, which I will revisit later in the blog)

Such a beautiful and peaceful moment.

"Justin, can I have a Cheerio?" Nope!!! 😂

Truth be told, I wouldn't want to give up my bowlful of Cheerios either! Especially if I was only 2!

This next sequence of images are fantastic! Notice in the background, Justin is sharing his Cheerios with Daddy! Such a good little boy!

Kisses to show gratitude 💕

One last look, to make sure the Cheerio went into Daddy's mouth!

Love!

I'll call this the Fist-Five (fist bump/high-5 hybrid)

Gotta hit those high notes!

Back to the Cheerios!

Love this so much!

Beautiful!

I told you Justin was a little lover! Scorpios can be mysterious (and even dark at times), but make no mistake, they love with an intensity like no other! And they are fiercely loyal! So I see a deep, brotherly connection between these two in the future!
*And, back to the asterisk from earlier. Nick told Justin to thank me for such a fun time, and Justin says "Thanks for taking photos, Mar. I hit my head" (rubbing his head, and adding drama to his voice, for the full effect). At that moment, I couldn't even! I wanted to scoop that little boy right up, and give him a great big hug! But, alas, I am still a stranger, so Justin wasn't having that. I was getting ready to say good-bye, having put my camera away.... but their story wasn't finished yet. The moments that happened after that were pretty magical.... see for yourselves!!
