Mikayla & Ben are Married :: Pt I

This couple has had a long journey leading up to their vows... Friends & family, amirite?!!  Ben & Mikayla are my last couple that had been affected by COVID.  Their original Fall 2020 intimate wedding at The Inn at Saratoga literally turned into the most dreamy opportunity -- a wedding on the beach!  Of course, some years would pass before getting to this point.  

Their 2019 Engagement Session is the first time they were behind my lens, and these two 'Canoodlers' had their love on full display.  (*It should be noted that I would continue to document these two twice more prior to their wedding.  A lot can change over the course of 3 years of wedding planning.  They welcomed a daughter, Adalyn, in 2020 who joined older siblings Patrick & Karli).  

This couple has a love of the ocean -- endless summer sunshine, toes in the sand, salty sea air, etc.  Myrtle Beach is a destination that is near and dear to them; yearly family vacations are spent here.  Fast forward to late Summer/Fall 2022, and the best wedding plans had finally fallen together.  I followed them down South, and the entire opportunity was pretty epic!  The day was magic -- from the cloudless sky, to the handwritten love letters (and video) that were enjoyed by both Ben & Mikayla privately; to the getting ready (a barber who also made the travel down South for this specific couple); to the details & perfect setting; to all of the big love this couple shares with one another and with their families.

Pull up a seat, grab some tissues, and stay a while!  This is an entire day's worth of coverage, and it's a whopper, broken up into 3 separate posts!  You'll smile, you'll laugh, you'll cry.  Cheers to the new Mr & Mrs.  I am super grateful to have taken this photographic journey with you both, Ben & Mikayla.  My camera is on standby for our next adventure together!  xoxo
