Ava :: Senior

This incoming senior has a very special place in my heart!  Ava's mother, Kelly, and I are cousins, so I have known her since infancy.  I would have sleepovers at my cousins' house growing up, and she and I later hung out a fair amount as teenagers (despite living in different towns).  Once we all graduated, college years had us dispersed.  As life would have it many years later, she and her husband purchased a home in the area in which my husband and I were renting in (which we would also purchase a home in by that next year).

Ava has grown up to be such a kind soul!  And talk about gorgeous?!  I can still remember Kelly dancing with Ava in her arms at her 1st birthday party to Ben Lee's Catch My Disease.  It feels like just yesterday!  And then there are the elementary years that my daughter Aislin spent with the entire family.  Just as Kelly and I grew up together, our daughters have grown up together!  These memories are golden, and I wouldn't trade them for anything.  And here we are, present day, and Ava is now in the beginnings of her final year of high school.  Gahhh... I'm not crying, you are!

This property is a magical little oasis that Kelly grew up on.  I have many memories of the river, and even when the bridge was being reconstructed.  Ava's grandparents are gifted in all things gardening, so it seemed only natural to use this property as the backdrop for her senior images.  A young Mar "tadpoling" could not have foreseen that she would turn out to be a photographer in her adult life, later using this space to make beautiful images with the next generation.
 

What lies ahead for Ava is shiny and bright!  All of the goals she will undoubtedly knock out of the park will make the world a better place.  It has been my pleasure to watch you grow through the years.  You are making your family so proud!
