Jen & Jared :: Engagement 

I have known Jen & Jared as a couple for over a year now, but as separate individuals, for many years at different points in my life.  Jared is the younger brother to one of my dearest high school friends, Jess, so I've known him since he was little.  He's really grown up to be a cool cat, and I'm lucky to have his entire family in my life.  Enter Jen.  When Jared introduced me, I immediately recognized her face.  I had worked at a bank way back when, and I remembered her from a different department of that bank.  As we've reconnected, I've also come to learn that we were definitely doing gymnastics together at the same gym when we were little.  The world's of these two collided a few years back while out for some drinks, and so their story began.

Their wedding planning adventures started out just like any other couple's.  But year 2020 has proven to be a year like none other in recent history.  There have been many variations as to how nuptials have taken place:  forge ahead and adhere to whatever guidelines are being implemented; have an intimate elopement with a larger celebration at a future date; move entire wedding & plans to a future date.  

This is my one wedding of the year, as my other couples opted to push their ceremonies and celebrations out to 2021.  Jen & Jared have faced planning, structuring, finalizing, and then more restructuring and replanning.  In the end, they will be having an intimate affair with less than 50 of their closest family and loved ones.  It may not be how they envisioned the original plan, but it will be amazing, nonetheless.  

We spent a couple of hours chasing the sunlight, and I was thrilled to be back on the farm.  This is such wonderful property to create magical photos!  These images are oozing with romance (and some mask-wearing, to document the history we are living) .  It's the kind of love story that I cannot wait to see play out.  The next level.  The rings.  The commitment.  The foreverafter.  And the wedding itself will be held at this beautiful farm, so stay tuned....
