Ricky & Michaela : The Happily Ever After Party ~ Pt. 1 

This playful couple kept it 100% during their after-party, and if jumping in a bounce house isn't proof of this, then you're definition of fun is skewed!  Ricky & Michaela had an intimate beach wedding on Martha's Vineyard just days before this celebration.  Even though we had talked about my coming to document their vows, it just made more sense (logistically and financially) to find a photographer local to the island.  I was thrilled to be brought on to document this part of their multi-day affair.  This casual gathering of friends and family promised yard games, drinks, dancing and great food.  And it did not disappoint! 

But to rewind a bit, my relationship goes back quite a few years with the bride, Michaela (and her family).  She is one of a select few whom I consider an "almost" full-circle moment.  And I say this because we made photographic magic during her Senior Lifestyle portrait session the summer before her senior year of high school.  If I had actually documented the wedding, I could connect the dots from high school senior, turned bride, turned "insert future milestone here."  But I say, close enough!  

She is a gorgeous, gorgeous soul - both inside and out!  And it is no surprise that she studied Elementary Ed in college, and is now living out her dream career (kindergarten teacher).  To the parents who have children in her classroom, you have hit the teacher jackpot!  It is also very fitting that she chose a life partner who is in the field of education as well, working with students and inspiring young minds to be their best selves.

This couple is surrounded by so, SO much love!  The support from family and friends is overflowing - endless even.  Ricky & Michaela, you are a remarkable duo, and you will have decades upon decades to continue to write your Happily Ever After.  Go find your next adventure, and keep it 100%... laughing and singing (and bounce-housing) along the way!
