Aaron & Anna

Imagine family & friends waiting, literally years, to celebrate the union of a couple?   This is the exact story of Aaron & Anna (and countless other couples, no doubt).  In May of 2019, they sat with me to discuss their June 2020 wedding plans.  However, no one could see what 2020 would bring, or how the world would come to a halt.  Due to the pandemic, their June 2020 wedding was pushed out a year to June 2021.  

Year 2021 still brought with it many unknowns, and with certain restrictions still in place, Aaron & Anna made the decision to have a private ceremony, because saying 'I do' wasn't going to wait another year.  But the celebration would still have to wait.  (If you haven't seen where their story truly begins, I encourage you to click here  to view their private ceremony from 2021).

Enter June 2022.  The vision was to get all of their most important family & friends together, to party!  No typical wedding formalities, just a space for everyone to Eat, Drink and Be Merry (a saying that has origins rooted in Greek philosophy.  Thank you, Dave Matthews, for singing about the pursuit of pleasure; an ideal that is forever ingrained in the minds of '90s kids.  C'mon, I know you might be humming the tune now >wink<). 

All of these moments of hugging, of laughter, of joy, and of dancing surrounded this couple throughout the evening.  These images are full of all the feels + so much energy; little moments preserved as a reminder to Aaron & Anna that their guests celebrated just as they had envisioned.  Perhaps this story was years in the making, but it may have made the afterparty that much sweeter -- in spite of the timeline.
