Senior '23 : Ian

I have known Ian's family for quite some time now, so I was thrilled when Danielle (Mom) wanted me to work with her son!  He has turned out to be an intelligent, witty, self-assured young man.  I hadn't seen him for a bit prior to his session, but it was no surprise that he is standing tall at 6'1".  (I predict he may gain another inch or so)! 

It's wild how styles "reincarnate" themselves... his hair reminded me of the skater boys I went to school with back in the '90s.  That was a refreshing nod to my own high school days.  So, hair-flicking is a natural body language -- one I took full advantage of (my favorite image in his collection came from an off-the-cuff moment of Ian smoothing his hair back, which I turned b&w).  

I always love personal locations, so we headed to his grandparents', which is situated on the Battenkill.  The sunlight was killer, so we moved around the property while listening to some good tunes (Greta Van Fleet and Radiohead are a vibe).  And if you've never chased light with me, you're missing out!  Light = Mood, and my pursuit and use of natural light is endless.     

Ian's future is looking exciting, combining his love of music & theatre as his projected focus.  He will be an amazing addition to whichever college he chooses.

Thanks for rocking your senior session with me, Ian!  Enjoy this final year -- you're one step closer to the next journey in life.
