Annual Fun with the Richards Family

Ah, the Richards family!!  They seriously no longer feel like clients... so I'm scratching my head wondering why I don't try to hang out with this family on a "friends" level throughout the year.  

These girls are so great!  Rylee with her inner and outer ray of light!  And let me tell you, she packs some serious rays!  Want to laugh and see the brightest side of things?  Ryles is your girl!  And Beckett... the last born... the x factor.  For years, I've worked hard to make sure it didn't look like she was crying for 85% of the session.  This year?  Not a tear in sight!  You never know what you might get with this one!  But Becks is a true last born, always emulating her eldest sister ("if she can do it, so can I" mentality).  

This year we ran around Yaddo gardens.  We were there last Fall, but by that time in the season, all of the fountains were drained and winterized for the season.  Please enjoy all of the moments that make this family so fabulous!  And if you are looking at these photos wishing that you, too, could be part of this family, you're not alone!  I'd be the first to raise my hand!  I'm fortunate enough to be able to document their shenanigans on a yearly basis, which is definitely the next best thing!

Parents knew, but girls didn't know I had arrived for this capture.  Starting things off on a high note!

Upon request, Rylee totally touched her nose with her tongue (and so can I 😉).  That's some major skill right there!  She had my heart in that moment.  

Joe tried getting Becks in the tree first, but she was pretty much not having it.  After Rylee sat on the limb, I knew she would return.  ("If big sister can do it, so can I").  Alas, there is a series of images with her giggling in the tree, but there is something captivating about the look on her face in the one I chose to include in the blog.  I like the shadows across her face, and the intensity in her stare.

I love this moment, and how the girls are all huddled in the foreground.  Rylee is resting her chin on her Mom's shoulder.  It's a moment that deserves a second look!

This comment is for you, Jen.  I know how much you love the girls with their feet splashing in the water at Hovey Pond.  I think this is a the latest upgrade (replacement) of that image.  This b&w image is seriously one of my favorites of all time!  

Becks wasn't really allowing Ryles to smell the flower, as she was shoving it up her nostrils.  The reactions from both girls are golden!   

If you didn't notice the littlest in the frame to the left, you didn't look hard enough!  She's peaking through the slats of the railing.
