                                                                                                    Molly :: Senior 2019

Summer certainly held on with a vengeance, and Molly's late August session was accompanied by the brutal Northeast's hot, humid temps!  A sweltering 95°!  Thankfully, storms were in the area, so at some point, the winds started to pick up and the sun disappeared into the clouds.  Unfortunately, we didn't get a true "golden hour," but what ended up happening was pretty spectacular.  "Blue hour" is a thing, and I haven't played around with that lighting too much.  Generally, it's the residual light left after the sun has set (dusk).  But because the sky became a stormy blue earlier than expected, it gave me a chance to play around with the cool tones, and the warm glowing lampposts in the park.

This collection of images is not only diverse from the sudden change in lighting, but also by her many expressions!  She has a "girl next door" vibe, an easy-breezy spirit.  And at the turn of instruction, she turns sultry and serious.  And let's just talk about her jawline for a minute!  Cheekbones for days, and the jaw of a model!  You'll see what I mean below ;)

Molly is a true gem!  She is grounded, empathetic, beautiful, intelligent, creative.... the list goes on!  I enjoyed my time with her, and her positive imprint on this world is sure to reach far and wide!

Enjoy!

This b&w above might be my absolute favorite senior image... like, ever!!

Perfect body language!

Yes and yes!!

Cheekbone + Jawline = OMG!

Thank you Congress Park Carousel for these amazing colors!!

Still loving the colors!!

The one to the right is another extreme favorite of mine!

And now... for some outtakes and bloopers!

Achieving the image in my mind's eye doesn't always come with ease!  The elements are a factor (wind, temps, etc), how I want the light to fall on my subject, positioning of the body, the list goes on!

I love willow trees!  You've probably seen them in many of my images throughout the years.  The sun was blazing hot!  Melting our skins might be a more accurate description!  And, then, the wind blows.  But Molly's all right... which is relayed by her "thumbs-up."  lol

Sincerity is key in my imagery.  I love a good nose-crinkle laugh!

And more crinkles!!

Youth!

ISO too low + shutter speed too slow = blur.  But I love it anyway!

I have no idea lol!  Let the imagination run... that's what youth is for ;)

The End
